Creative Background

Like many people in the industry, my journey into UX design wasn’t straightforward. Grew up with an artistic eye - I started to learn Chinese and Western painting at the age of 6. This experience has instilled an aesthetic-driven habit in my mind, and I can always appreciate and discover the beauty around me. As they say, I am a right-brain thinker!

I came to The Ohio State University to learn Interior Design in 2013 to follow my dad’s career path. However, after graduation and working for a year, I realized it wasn’t for me. I started to work freelance and used that time to think about what I wanted to do for a living. That’s when I learned about the career of UX design, I love the idea of making technology more accessible, intuitive, and aesthetically pleasing. I thought, "Hmm, it seems like a really good combination of the skills I acquired from college and adapting to the digital world!" So, I started to learn UX design, and that's how I got here.
